Post-Offer / Pre-Placement Testing

This is an evaluation of a potential employee to determine if he or she can safely perform the job being offered.

This is accomplished by:

1. A review of the job description to include the physical demand levels and essential job functions.

2. Prospect completes several areas of testing:

  • Computerized NIOSH static lift testing.
  • Computerized range of motion evaluation of the cervical and lumbar spines, as well as a grip and  pinch strength assessment of both hands to determine the presence of repetitive stress injuries or conditions.
  • A 10 panel drug and alcohol test is included.

3. The Post-Offer/Pre-Employment test can be customized to best suit your needs.

4. Employee is provided education of his/her responsibility for their own health risk factors.

Benefits of Pre-Employment Testing:

- Uncovers asymptomatic conditions that may be dormant now but active when work begins.

- Establishes a baseline of the functional status of the employee prior to the commencement of work.

- Provides data regarding pre-injury status in the event of an injury-shortens treatment time, reduces cost, saves money.

- Once hired, it deters the employee from entering into the ‘system’ for secondary gain

- Reduces disability payment whereby employer isn’t responsible for total disability, only the disability surrounding the injury.

- Computerized testing supports the decision via objective data as to whether an individual can safely perform the job in question.  Computerized testing reasonably excludes those candidates who can not perform to the physical demand levels of the job.

Orthopedic, neurologic, postural and cardiovascular fitness.
